Jason D. Brown - Place 10 Council Appointee
Jason Brown was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund in 2014. He currently serves on the Audit & Budget, Investment and Legislative Committees and has surpassed the minimum education requirements for pension Trustees required by Texas Pension Review Board.
Jason currently serves as Director of Texas Bank Financial in Weatherford and of Texas Bank Brownwood. At both institutions, he is a member of the Loan, Audit and Investment Committees.
Since 2007, Jason has been a Principal at Doss, Knight & Associates in Fort Worth, a family office involved in banking, real estate and private equity investments. He manages equity portfolios, real estate investments and other partnerships. He is responsible for underwriting, acquisition, management and disposition of commercial real estate. He is also responsible for technical infrastructure and IT matters.
A resident of Fort Worth, Jason is very active in the community. He has been active in SteerFW and previously served as Education Task Force Vice Chair. In addition, he is President-elect for the Berkeley Place Association. Jason also serves as Chair of the Development Committee for Fort Worth South, Inc. He currently serves on the Master Thoroughfare Plan Task Force for the City of Fort Worth and the 2013 Bond Citizens' Oversight Committee for the Fort Worth Independent School District.
A graduate of Fort Worth Country Day School, Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information & Decision Systems from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Penn., and a Masters of Information Systems and Information Systems in Public Policy and Management from the Heinz School of Public Policy, also located in Pittsburgh.
