Scott Wade - Place 12 Council Appointee
Scott Wade was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund in 2016. He currently serves on the Investment and Personnel Committees and has surpassed the minimum education requirements for pension Trustees required by Texas Pension Review Board.
Scott serves as President of HJ&P Group, a private investment company that purchases and operates small local businesses. In addition, he provides asset allocation, manager selection and investment oversight services to a family office.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Services and Planning from Baylor University. He started his career working for Vogel Financial Advisors in Dallas and during his time there, earned his Certified Financial Planner designation. In 2008, Scott and his family moved to Fort Worth, where he began employment with Burgher Haggard, a professional services firm that provides financial administration, reporting and consulting services to family offices and privately held businesses. Scott served as Chief Operating Officer of Burgher Haggard and oversaw the firm’s family office clients.
Scott lives in Fort Worth with his wife and three sons. He serves on the Board of Covenant Classical School, where his children are students.
