Todd Cox - Place 2 Active Firefighter
Todd Cox, a third-generation Fort Worth firefighter, has served in the department since 1987 and is currently a Lieutenant. Prior to his election to the Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees in 2004, he served for two years as the Retirement Liaison Officer for the Fort Worth Professional Firefighters’ Association. Todd represents active Civil Service fire personnel and is Chair of the Retirement Fund Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Disability, Investment and Personnel Committees.
Todd earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Economics from the University of Texas at Arlington. He currently serves as chair of the Retirement Fund’s Investment Committee, and is a member of the Disability Committee.
Todd has completed the Texas Public Employee Retirement System (TEXPERS) Certified Training Program and has surpassed the minimum education requirements for pension Trustees required by Texas Pension Review Board. He has.also earned the following credentials:
Designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary, after successfully completing stringent course requirements
Certificate of Achievement in Retirement Plans from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP)
Completion of the following courses through IFEBP, sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School Aresty Institute of Executive Education: Portfolio Concepts and Management Program; Hedge Funds; Real Estate and Other Alternative Investments Program; International Investing and Emerging Markets; Trustees Masters Program; and, Advanced Investments Management Program.
