Steve Streiffert - Place 4 Active General Employee Group D
Steve Streiffert was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Fort Worth Employees' Retirement Fund in 2016, representing active city employees in Group D. He currently serves on the Audit & Budget, Communications and Investment Committees of the Retirement Fund. He has surpassed the minimum education requirements for pension Trustees required by Texas Pension Review Board.
Steve is an Assistant Director in the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Department. He is currently responsible for the city’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning System and the ITS Finance and Contracting Division. He has been employed of the city since 2008. Prior to joining the city, he was a Senior Director at RadioShack and the Chief Technology Officer at GameStop.
In 2000, Steve retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with 20 years of service in the United States Air Force at locations that include the White House Communications Agency, Washington, DC; Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, Lajes Air Base, Azores, Portugal; and Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. He earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the United States Air Force Academy.
He is a graduate of Leadership Fort Worth, has received the State of Texas IT Manager of the Year Award and the State of Texas IT Leadership Award. Steve is currently enrolled in the University of North Carolina Certified Government Chief Information Officer Course.
He met his wife, Diane, while stationed at Carswell Air Force Base, Fort Worth. They have two daughters.
