Pension Benefit Payments

In accordance with the City of Fort Worth Retirement Ordinance, pension benefits are payable monthly on the first day of each month, provided the first day of the month is not a Bank Holiday, Saturday, or Sunday. In the month for which the first day falls on a Bank Holiday, Saturday or Sunday, the pension payment will be payable on the next regular business day. Friday, January 1, 2010 is a Bank Holiday, followed by Saturday, January 2nd, and Sunday, January 3rd, therefore the pension payment for January 2010 will be payable January 4th. Please note that direct deposit payments will be credited to retiree accounts on Monday, January 4th. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the Retirement Office at 817-632-8900.
